WHAT IS pH?
Potential of hydrogen = pH, measures your acidic or alkalinity. The scale ranges from 0 to 14. A neutral pH is 7. The lower the number the higher your acidity. Numbers above 7 indicate an alkaline state. The acid state indicates positive ions and a lack of oxygen, whereas an alkaline state indicate negative ions and adequate oxygen.
Being made up of one electron and one proton, Hydrogen is the simplest of elements,. It is also an essential macro nutrient. Hydrogen is the basis for the building blocks of all life forms on Earth. When the environment is alkaline it means that hydrogen is removed, when the environment is acid it means that hydrogen is added.
Each level of pH has a 10-fold range difference between each number. It is expressed in a logarithm of the number of the concentration divided into one - Log 1/H+. An example is a 7pH is 10 times greater in alkalinity than a pH of 6. A pH of 5 would be 100 times greater in acidity than a pH of 7.
When you are too acid the body will rob your organs and bones of the vital minerals of potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium to maintain the body's pH and also to remove acidic waste.
